National Hemp Growers Association

We are a 501(c)(5) nonprofit organization focused on industrial hemp.

NHGA exists to leverage producer influence of the hemp industry in the United States from seed to sale, develop infrastructure to connect growers to resources and markets, and engage governments and businesses in the promotion of industrial hemp as a valuable resource.

NHGA members are commercial growers from coast to coast who farm cotton, corn, peanuts, sorghum, wine grapes, and other commercial crops. Many of us are 3rd or 4th generation farmers who are diversifying as a way to reduce risk and make a profit in uncertain times.  We believe that farmers gain more influence when they cooperate and communicate with each other.  We are interested in the utility of industrial hemp, and not in the legalization of marijuana. We are looking for like-minded producers, individuals, and businesses to join us as we invest in the future of hemp for America.

We are asking experienced growers and leaders in the industry to verify claims we hear every day. We are listening closely to the scientists doing the research across the country and the globe. We will be participating in legislative and regulatory discussions and working with industry partners to ensure that the U.S. industrial hemp economy is developed with foresight and care to be both practical and achievable.

While the extraction of cannabinoids (CBD) has been the driving force behind the rapid growth and interest in hemp, it is but one use for a plant that has many. NHGA believes that the future of hemp will include textiles, construction materials, bio-plastics, human food, and animal feed.

I hope you will join us as we represent the interests of farmers across the United States and grow markets for a sustainable new crop. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.

We are here to serve you, that is who we are.

“I’m excited to be working alongside farmers across the US advocating for the needs of my neighbors.”

– Kyle Bingham, NHGA Vice President

From our roots as the Texas Hemp Growers Association, we have expanded to a national focus on the American hemp industry.
